Vocal Coaching Classes with Regan O'Brien

Speech and Articulation for Children

Voice and articulation class is a playful, holistic approach for children aged 4-8 with speech and communication difficulties, who are either waiting to see a speech and language therapist or need to build confidence in communicating themselves in a public setting, through repetition, games and simple group exercises in a small group setting.

Please drop me a line to arrange a chat.

We will do a short, private consultation where I can assess your child’s speech sounds and how they are experiencing difficulty making that sound physically and in day to day life situations. I can then design an individual class plan for your child which will be integrated into the group class plan.

“I always feel very safe in your sessions. The Voice, for me, is an extremely vulnerable place. I tend to harshly judge every sound that comes out. You’ve helped me to become aware of that, which has completely shifted my train of thought. That alone was invaluable”

Benefits of Speech and Articulation

  • Support with breathing and taking time
  • Organization of their ideas and feelings – What I am thinking?  What do I need to say and to whom?
  • Clear and definite placement of the organs of articulation through repetition, games and simple group exercises
  • Working with muscle memory to promote a deep, integrated understanding of speech and articulation
  • An inner glow of confidence for your child
  • Children give mutual support to each other
  • Activities to relieve stress and increase focus and concentration

“You are a Voice Whisperer – gently providing the encouragement and support needed for my voice to take the next step towards realising its potential.”
